We are excited to announce that our next Church Culture Conference will take place Tuesday and Wednesday, May 15-16, 2018.

Next year’s event will again include main sessions with Bill Hybels and Colby Burke along with sessions designed to help senior leaders build thriving cultures in their local church.

In the meantime, Willow Creek Association has made videos from the 2017 event available to WCA members here.

Additional speakers to be announced in Fall 2017.
"Show me a high performance team, and within minutes, I can discover the leader who optimized its potential."
– Bill Hybels, The Global Leadership Summit 1998

Today's church leadership takes grit and a determination to build a culture where teams thrive and missions get accomplished.  Building on the lessons learned by Willow Creek and other like-minded churches from around the U.S., WCA is excited to announce our newest event for church leaders: The Church Culture Conference this May 15-16, 2018

What started as a gathering of human resources professionals from local churches has grown into an annual conference where senior leaders can connect to focus on the people behind the ministry.  Featuring both faculty from WCA's Global Leadership Summit and ministry practitioners, this event offers senior pastors and their executive teams the opportunity to learn and grow together.

Main sessions will focus on shared challenges like hiring, leadership development, giving and receiving feedback, and building strong relational systems.  Breakouts will offer immensely practical topics such as:

  • Pastoral compensation and staff benefits
  • Culture assessments
  • Staff development
  • A special track for just lead pastors

Willow Creek Community Church, our event host, was once described as having a "toxic" culture.  It was a wake up call.  The disappointment forged a unique partnership between Willow’s senior pastor, Bill Hybels and Colby Burke, who has been a relentless partner in strategically building Willow into a thriving culture.  But it all starts with the commitment of the senior pastor.  Named a certified Best Christian Workplace, Willow has experienced a cultural transformation.
